Last year, roughly 30 million travelers hit the high seas and nearly two dozen new ships were launched. While 2020’s sailing season may have hit some rough seas with the current health crisis, we can hopefully look forward to 2021 with anticipation as a number of exciting cruises will be offered.

Cruises are easy to plan and you can be assured to find an itinerary that suits your style whether you’re a solo female traveler or planning to cruise as a family. Cruises offer great value for your money, fares including your accommodation, food, entertainment, and of course transport.

If you’re searching for a truly unique or epic cruise itinerary, check out some of our top cruise recommendations that will be on offer. Whether you’re looking for a superyacht casino or a cruise that will take you around the world, the following cruise experiences are sure to leave you with lasting memories.

Sunborn Gibraltar

Permanently moored at the Ocean Village Marina in Gilbraltar, this casino cruise ship offers stunning views of the Moroccan coastline and the 425-meter-high limestone ridge known as the Rock of Gibraltar. Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory which is located on the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. It became the home of the €150 million floating hotel back in 2014.

If you’re a traveler that is prone to sea sickness, this may be the cruise for you. Despite the superyacht having an engine, the 5 star yacht hotel and casino doesn’t actually sail anywhere. The world’s first superyacht casino, the ship offers you the opportunity to stay aboard for whatever duration you wish. Nearly 200 rooms are available, 90% of which offer sea views and private balconies or terraces. Enjoy visits to the spa, fitness center, cocktail lounges, and 24-hour room service. Off the ship, you can enjoy vineyard tours, golfing, the famous Alameda Botanical Gardens, and hiking in the Upper Rock Nature Reserve.

Of course many simply come aboard to enjoy a Five Star Casino Experience with 35 jackpot slot machines and 7 live gaming tables including Blackjack and 5 Card Stud Poker.

Cunard Cruises

The first continuous circumnavigation cruise was completed in 1922 by the Cunard ship known as the Laconia. Since then, the cruise company has sent more ships around the world than any other cruise operator.

While the Queen Mary 2, one of Cunard’s most famous ships, will be setting sail early in 2021 for a world voyage that will take 99 nights as departs from Southampton, the ship will also offer exciting 7-day Transatlantic journeys from Southampton as well. You can actually make the journey from east to west or west to east as you travel between ports in Southampton and New York. You can expect impeccable service along with nightly entertainment that includes West-End style productions and Shakespeare performances. Enjoy delicious meals served by white-gloved servers. If 7 days seems too short, you can book in for a 14-day return journey whether you wish to leave from New York or Southampton.

Cunard’s Queen Victoria ship will also set sail on an epic cruise that will be roughly half the duration of Queen Mary 2’s world voyage. The itinerary will take you from Southampton to Sydney, as you pass through Florida, the Bahamas, and New Zealand.

Crystal Cruises

Crystal Cruises is another top sailing operator that offers world cruises. In early January 2021, the Crystal Serenity will embark on a 127 night journey from Miami to London. Discover delicious cuisine, exceptional hospitality, and gorgeous suites and staterooms on one of the most awarded luxury cruise lines in the world. Offering one of highest staff to guest ratios, you’ll enjoy butler serviced suites and penthouses which have private verandahs.

As for the journey, you’ll make your way west out of Miami towards Mexico, California, and Hawaii before crossing the South Pacific towards the Great Barrier Reef. You’ll continue on to experience Southeast Asia, India, Dubai, Egypt, Santorini, the Amalfi Coast, Rome, and finally London.

Costa Cruises

Over 60,000 travelers have boarded Costa Cruises to circumnavigate the world since it started operating in 2011. While the Costa Deliziosa won’t technically circumnavigate the globe for its 116-day 2021 journey, it will offer an epic looping itinerary across 5 continents. The world cruise will depart from the Mediterranean and returning to the Mediterranean. If you’re lucky enough to grab a spot on the ship, you’ll get to experience 60 ports of call across 32 countries. Over a dozen exciting shore excursions will be included free of charge.

The ship will sail through three oceans and include destinations like Peru, Bermuda, Greece, France, Israel, Jordan, South Africa, Namibia, Portugal, and Spain.
