The diversity of tracks means you’ll take on sand, gravel, dirt, and rocks. No need to bring anything but your adventurous spirit since helmets, pads, and gloves will be supplied for you. End the day with a delicious Outback BBQ.

Sandboarding the Lancelin Sand Dunes

A great day trip from Perth, Lancelin Sand Dunes is Australia’s premier sandboarding destination (about an hour and a half north of Perth). Entry to the dunes is free and they are open every day from 8am to 7pm. If you need to rent a specialized sandboard, this can easily be done for as little as $12. While it’s possible to get to the dunes and find parking for 2-wheel-drive vehicles, have even more fun by doing some off-roading in a 4WD. While you’re up this way, be sure to check out the Pinnacles as well, an otherworldly landscape of limestone formations in Nambung National Park.
